In New Jersey, the public school year generally begins in September and finishes in June. There is no deadline to register a student for public schools. However, there may be deadlines associated with public pre-K programs that acquire waitlists. To register for public school at any grade level you will need to complete the school district’s registration form, have a medical doctor perform a physical examination of the student and submit the district’s medical questionnaire, submit up to four proofs of residency, and submit the child’s original birth certificate. Please check individual school district requirements, as they vary and can change from time to time. Many of the towns we serve are top-ranked by Niche.com, a website that provides in-depth profiles on every school and college in America.
